CONRAD DOBLER (OG, Cardinals, Saints and Bills 1972-81) earned three Pro Bowl invitations during his 10-year pro career. The gritty Dobler was part of a 1975 Cardinals offensive line that tied an NFL record by allowing only eight sacks all season. "When I played, the lineman were athletic;" Dobler said. "Today they're fat. The game is more sumo ' wrestling. It's a detriment to young kids in high school and college to feel they have to weigh 3(X) pounds to compete in the NFL." Today, Dobler is CEO of Superior Health Care Staffing, which supplies nurses to hospitals in Texas, Kansas, and Missouri. Dobler and his I wife Joy live in Leaway, Kan. They have six children and two grandchildren.

"You try to find the best people you can find," he said, "because construction, like football, needs a game plan."
