Opened on June 4, 1930, the Pantages Theater has a long and rich history. The Pantages Theatre has been the home to many award winning plays, musicals, live events, as well as film and televisions shows.

The theatre also offers accessible wheelchair seating in the Orchestra level. The Pantages Theatre is also a real masterpiece of Art Deco architecture.
The Pantages Theater has a reputation of being one of LA's leading homes of true theater. In fact, the five highest-grossing weeks in L.A. 's theatrical history were all shows at the Pantages Theater. It is also a favorite location for TV shows, movies and music videos. The Pantages Theatre has recently shown large scale production musicals such as Disney's Lion King, which ran at the theater for over two years, and is currently host to the Los Angeles production of the smash Broadway musical 'Wicked'.

In 1949, The Pantages Theater was obtained by Howard Hughes, to be the crowning gemstone of his nationwide movie Pantages Theater chain, RKO pictures. The Pantages Theater became a grand place to see films, selling Pantages Theater tickets . When it was rehabilitated from a stage theater with a huge screen, Hughes had his offices on the second floor. In 1954, Hughes sold all of his stock in RKO, and started down his path to being totally withdrawn from public life, which happened ten years later.In 1967, Pacific Theaters bought Los Angeles Pantages Theater, which was a bit jogging down by this time. In partnership with the Nederlander Corporation, Pacific Theaters modernize the insides of The Pantages Theater to its previous splendor, selling Pantages Theater tickets ,not only cleaning and repairing all the Art-Deco artesian masterpiece artwork found on the ceiling, walls, and floors, but also turning it back into a prime rate stage theater for Broadway touring companies.

In 1932, Pantages Theater was rehabilitated into a movie theater, selling Pantages Theater Tickets. In 1978, a group of people started to reinstate the Pantages Theater to its innovative grandeur. Pantages Theater reopened in 1983 as part of the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, featuring nationally-known drama, pop, and comedy performances, selling many Pantages Theater Tickets . The 1,182-seat theater now serves as one of the outstanding drama arts centers in the Pacific Northwest for nationwide and international touring artists and is home to many local arts organizations.
